The life of a Private Investigator is an extremely exciting one to say the least. You could find yourself observing a subject who has exagerated a workers compensation claim one minute and the next getting some all important video evidence of a guy that is playing around on his wife. Infidelity matters can be extremely intense. Other areas you may be involved in could be:
- Missing persons
- Vehicle accident investigations
- Burglary investigations
- Marine investigations
- Fraud investigations
- Surveillance
- Workplace theft
Investigators have skills in administration, computers, equipment, research, acting and many other areas. Some people think that to be Private Investigator you need to have Police experience but this is not so. Some of the most proffessional Private Investigators have no Police experience at all and come from backgrounds in banking, IT,casinos etc. All you need is the passion to succeed to be involved in this multi faceted industry. Salaries are open ended. You may end up working for yourself choosing to work your own hours allowing you to keep a balanced lifestyle or working for a large corporate investigation company.
You can complete the Cert111 course in Investigative Services at home via your own computer and at your own speed. There is a requirement to attend 2 weekend workshops, one in surveillance and one in statement taking. The course is interesting and rewarding and you will also meet others that have the same interests as yourself.
Im interested in talking to an investigator about training.
I need to know how to get work as a Private Investigator.
